2023 Member Show Selected Works for the Betty Barker Award

The Betty Barker Award was established in 2018 to honor one of the founders of the Carriage Barn.  The selections are based on input from past exhibit jurors and exhibition committee members.

2023 Betty Barker award winner ($250):
Amy Schott, Leftovers mixed media collage vintage found printed papers used in previous works.  A variation of Schott’s shadow box pieces with the same beautiful composition and flawless execution.  The piece takes viewers on a visual journey that is nostalgic, surprising, and layered while also visually arresting as a whole.


Honorable mentions to three artists whose pieces demonstrate technical expertise and pushing the boundaries of their mediums/process.

2023 Carriage Barn Arts Center, Annual Member Show.

We have two pieces on exhibit in the 2023 Member Show.

As described by CBAC, “ The Carriage Barn Arts Center 2023/24 season will begin with the Annual Member Show.  This exhibit celebrates the range, interests, and talents of artist members working across all subjects, styles, and media.
